The kit came with everything needed to install in my MK7 GTI S. I followed Paul’s excellent video on how to do the installation. It took me about 2 hours to do with the help of my buddy.

One thing that I had trouble with was the removal of the A-pillar trim piece. On my car, it was clipped in, but had the locking tabs pushed in to make it near impossible to pull out. I had to have help from my buddy to hold the trim piece while I slid the clips off of the A-pillar trim.

Besides that, everything else went smoothly and the mirror works flawlessly. The integrated compass is nice so you don’t ever need to swtich to it in the MFI screen of the car.

Without install instructions, you are basically figuring it out with the help of VWvortex and mk7gti . There's not a good way to get the wire from the mirror to the light switch. And also the A pillar is PITA with it's Christmas tree clips.

On my 2016 S without any DAP I will need to purchase another trim piece that extends the plastic from the overhead console to the extended plastic that comes with the mirror.

Overall, I'm glad I bought it. Homelink, autodimming and frameless!!! Now I wonder what the dealer would have charged to install. It may have been worth it.
