The original GTI MK7 mirror with the flip-tab seemed really cheap to me and didn't work very well. I really missed the auto-dimming mirror from a prior vehicle so this was a great and affordable addition.

Installation was pretty easy, even for a novice like me, and took about 90 minutes being really careful. DAP has a video but was a little different since I have rain sensing wipers, but the general procedure is the same.

Make sure you order the right version for your car. The "C" version is correct for rain sensing wipers on the 2016 GTI.
