I was on the fence about purchasing OEM vs other but ended up going with these lights along with the cables as I own a VagCom. Installation was easy especially given the excellent videos posted on this site. The cable amber light cable install went well at two hours with no anomalies or problems. Coding was easy and took an additional hour but well worth the beautiful amber lights. Don't hesitate to put these in your MK7, you will not be disappointed even if you choose not to cable/code them.
