Bought this as part of a spare wheel kit for Golf R. Everything else, wheel, jack, jack handle were fine, this required substantial modification to fit. The fit after mod is only just okay. If your goal is to fit a spare wheel to MK7 Golf R, look at other options for tool holder. Everything else works fine.
