The evap purge, also known as the N80 valve is likely to cause a check engine light when it goes bad.  This may also cause a check gas cap light on your Audi 2.0t model.  The evap purge valve control excess fuel tank vapors and send them to the engine to be burned.  Over time the solenoid may fail or become clogged with carbon.  You can use an output test on a scan tool to actuate the solenoid, and you can pull vacuum on this valve as it should only flow in a single direction.  This version of the N80 valve and hose assembly is for flex fuel vehicles.  This can be identified easily by looking at the intake manifold.  If your vehicle has a metal intake manifold you have a flex fuel 2.0t engine for the models listed in the application data below.
