MK6 GTI 2010-2014

The MK6 GTI platform spanned from 2010 to 2014 in the United States and was heavily supported by all aftermarket tuners and performance part manufacturers. The platform carried over the 2.0T TSI motor from the tail end of the MK5 generation, still making the same 200HP as claimed by VW. In both the MK5 and MK6 generation that factory number was proven to be pretty underrated. This generation offered the same two transmissions options as the last - DSG or a 6-speed manual transmission.

Ultimately, the MK6 generation was a "refresh" of the MK5 rather than a complete re-design. The majority of styling changes were to the front end, rear end, and interior. As with the MK5's, the 2.0T TSI responds very well to performance parts such as cold air intakes, downpipes, catback exhausts, K04 turbo upgrades, coilovers, and more.
