Accessory Bracket Reseal Kit | 1.8T & 2.0T EA888 Gen 3

The accessory bracket on EA888 Gen 3 engines contains both coolant and oil passages that run through the bracket assembly. Over time the gasket between the accessory bracket and the engine block can fail, allowing coolant or engine oil to leak from the front of the engine.

This repair requires removal of the alternator and A/C compressor in order to access the accessory bracket mounting bolts and sealing surfaces.

This kit includes the gaskets, hardware, and service components commonly required to properly reseal the accessory bracket and oil cooler assembly on EA888 Gen 3 engines.

Common symptoms of a leaking accessory bracket include:

• Oil leaking down the front of the engine block
• Coolant leaks near the oil filter housing or oil cooler
• Coolant residue around the accessory bracket
• Oil contamination around the oil cooler assembly

Because this repair requires access to many of the same components as a water pump replacement, it is often recommended to inspect or replace the water pump assembly while servicing this area.

Kit Includes:

• Accessory bracket to engine block gasket
• Oil cooler gasket
• Union pipe (thermostat to oil cooler)
• Alternator bracket bolts (Qty 3)
• M8 mounting bolts (Qty 2)
• Genuine VW/Audi G12evo coolant (1 gallon concentrate)

Note: Some engine variants use a larger lower accessory bracket mounting bolt. In these cases, two (2) additional bolts (part number N10664801) may be required and are not included in this kit.

This kit provides the components needed to reseal the accessory bracket and related components during service.
