APR OPEN PEX Intake System - 1.8T/2.0T EA888 Gen 3/4 MQB

The APR Open PEX Intake System is the best dollar-per-horsepower intake system for the 1.8T and 2.0T engines! We've maximized performance and sound dramatically by reducing pressure drop and increasing airflow. This translates to more horsepower and torque, and less physical strain on the turbocharger.

The system looks great, sounds amazing, and produces more power you can feel. Unlike the restrictive closed airbox design, our Open PEX Intake System uses a massive 7" washable and reusable cotton filter with a frontal inlet and 4" rear outlet. This oversized filter minimizes pressure drop while maintaining excellent filtration, thanks to the greatly increased surface area.

The PEX material gives the intake an OEM-like feel while allowing a complex heat shield shape that keeps hot air from the radiator away from the intake tract. PEX also retains less heat than metal, making it ideal for performance applications.

Important Notes

• Models with Secondary Air Injection (SAI) require a breather filter (CI100020-A).
• To fit this to 2.0T EA888.3b engines with a MAF sensor on the intake tube, use our MAF adapter (CI100051). (Discontinued by APR)
• This system is not compatible with the MS100100 intake-mounted Catch Can System.
