This 1.8t and 2.0t thermostat housing is prone to leak, and has been revised many times (as seen below). This is the most current cersion of this part at this time. The 1.8t and 2.0t thermostat housing is located underneath the intake manifold and is belt driven. Most would remove the intake manifold to access this part, as this will allow you full access to all the parts you need to replace when replacing the thermostat housing. The waterpump is alot located in this housing, so we would advice replacing that part at the same time.
