This gasket would be found mounted between the coolant flange (often thought to be a thermostat housing) and the cylinder head. On most engines this will be found on the drivers side of the cylinder head.
On 1.8T Jetta Golf and GTI this gasket only applies to vehicles with a manual transmission.
